Janet brings years of experience in academia, environmental conservation, community mobilization, entrepreneurship, and organizational leadership. She has served as a university lecturer, conservationist, grassroots mobilizer, CEO, and chairperson of community development initiatives, giving her both professional expertise and grassroots understanding.

Janet will advocate for access to affordable financing, entrepreneurship training, digital skills, mentorship programs, market opportunities, and policies that empower women and young people to create sustainable livelihoods and participate fully in the county’s economic growth.

She will champion stronger primary healthcare services, maternal and child health, mental health awareness, preventive healthcare, and partnerships that expand access to quality and affordable healthcare for every community across Siaya.

Her strategy focuses on promoting entrepreneurship, supporting small and medium enterprises, strengthening technical and vocational skills, expanding the digital economy, and creating partnerships that connect young people with employment and business opportunities.
